Frequently Asked Questions
CBD is a natural compound found in the hemp plant. It’s often taken as support for a balanced mood and improved sleep. CBD interacts with something called your endocannabinoid system, which is a web of receptors that hangs out in your nervous system. This system plays a role in a number of important functions, including mood and sleep cycle.
Nope! CBD is non-psychoactive. Sometimes CBD is mixed up with THC—which will get you high—but they’re completely different compounds.
CBD is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. You can even pick it up at your local market, like Walgreens and CVS.
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship any of our products to Idaho or South Dakota due to their unique state laws surrounding hemp. We are also unable to ship our Social Blends vape pens to Louisiana, Massachusetts, Montana, Rhode Island, or Washington because of recent vape pen bans.
We are only shipping within the U.S. at this time, but check in soon–we’re looking to ship internationally in the near future!
CBD is one of the most famous hemp compounds, but it’s far from the only one—hemp has 58 non-psychoactive compounds called cannabinoids. Isolate CBD (like the CBD in our Social Drops) only contains the CBD cannabinoid, so you can have a pure CBD experience. On the other hand, our Broad Spectrum Drops feature a multitude of non-psychoactive cannabinoids that create synergy within your body when they work together.
Yes! We don’t just test our products—our products are tested at every stage of production! These tests look for important things like solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microorganisms, and THC. We utilize an ISO 17025 accredited third party lab test our products so you can be assured the results are accurate.
Drug tests typically look for THC, which is primarily found in marijuana. Social CBD is derived from hemp and contains 0.0% THC. But not all CBD is created equal—many brands don’t hold their product to stringent testing standards like we do, so they may contain higher levels of THC. Here at Social, we work hard to remove THC from our products with repeated testing and distillation so you end up with pure, powerful, and honest CBD with 0.0% THC.
If you receive a damaged or defective product, contact us then ship it back within 30 days of receipt for a full refund.
If you’re unhappy with your purchase or have other concerns, reach out to us! We address every issue on a case-by-case basis, so if you’re unhappy with something, we’ll do our very best to work it out.
Please note: We cannot provide refunds for spilled Social Drops or Broad Spectrum Drops. Our dropper bottles are not leak-proof, so if you would like to travel with your drops, we recommend storing your drops inside of a sealable plastic bag or consider traveling with our Social Gelcaps.
No—According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
CBD can interact with prescribed medications, so it’s important to talk with your doctor before adding CBD into your routine.
According to the TSA, CBD/hemp products can now be taken both in carry-on and checked bags–as long as they have less than 0.3% THC. Social CBD products have a guaranteed 0.0% THC. If you are traveling internationally, we recommend checking local law regarding the legality of CBD products.
Don’t shoot the messenger: “The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.” -TSA
You might have noticed a change of color in your Social Drops or Broad Spectrum Drops–but don’t worry, nothing is wrong. Here at Social, we use natural ingredients. The pigment of hemp plants and herbs can vary plant to plant, so it’s perfectly normal for the pigment of your drops to vary too
